Iowa State Fair 2007

I was in Des Moines Iowa visiting family and visited the Iowa State Fair. It is a historic fair, not the oldest but usually included in books on places you should visit at least once in your life.

This year the fair had an exhibit on the power company trying to go more ‘green’ by installing a wind turbine and using that to help offset the normal power for the fair. My cousin and I enjoyed a short ride on their sky-ride to the top of the hill then back and seeing various animals on display.
